Το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο της Ένωσης Αρχαιολόγων Ελλάδος ( http://www.eos-archaeo.gr) επέλεξε να προκηρύξει μια δράση που συμβάλλει στην ανάδειξη της αναγκαιότητας της έρευνας, η οποία, στην τρέχουσα συγκυρία, αποτελεί συνθήκη δυσπρόσιτη για πολλά μέλη της εγχώριας επιστημονικής κοινότητας, ειδικότερα τους νέους. Την πρωτοβουλία της αυτή συνδέει με την επιθυμία να τιμήσει τη μνήμη του καθηγητή Γεωργίου Δεσπίνη, ο οποίος με την επιστημονική του διαδρομή και τη στάση ζωής του δίδαξε όχι μόνο την Επιστήμη, αλλά και σεμνότητα.

Announcement of choregic call in Memory of Professor Georgios Despinis

The Administrative Board of the Society of Archaeologists in Greece “Eos” ( http://www.eos-archaeo.gr) has decided to announce an initiative that aims to emphasise the need for research; a condition, vital for any archaeologist, which under the current conjuncture is not given to a majority of members of the local scientific community, and especially the younger. This initiative is connected to the desire to honour the memory of Professor Georgios Despinis; with his scientific curriculum and life attitude he has taught not only science in his field, but also humbleness.
